A brief synopsis of the book
Leo McKnight is ready for a drastic change. He’s been stuck in the one-stoplight town of Twine, North Carolina doing manual labor and tending to his sick mother for too long. It’s time to get away, far away.
Leo moves to California to attend college with good intentions and a strong will to succeed. When he meets his roommate, Marvin, Leo’s dull existence quickly brightens to shades of gray as he is pulled into a lifestyle that complements his natural talents—wits, sex appeal, and intelligence—which gets him exactly what he wants.
With Marvin’s veiled ambitious pushing him forward, Leo is propelled into a world of lies, deception, and unlimited , unadulterated sex. As he becomes more enthralled with his carnal lifestyle, his relationships get complicated, dirty deals are made, and the stakes get higher the deeper he goes.
Ignoring his instincts, and at Marvin’s urging, Leo formulates a plan that will make him and his inner circle very rich men. As he jockeys for power and position, he’s guided down a path darker than anything he’s ever faced before.
